Wilis in the Far

leave a comment »

Trying another angle to capture Wilis Mountain. With little framing from leaves. Compare with a blue sky because of CPL effect. The mountain, Wilis,  looks so little because I lay it in the far down the frame. Critic and comment please … 😀

Circular Polarizing is not have an effect enough if you shoot directly to the light come. Look at the picture below. The sky looks like flat. The cloud does not have a good looking at all. But the green still eye catching.

Polarizing Filter Effect II

leave a comment »

The difference between cloud and sky, will be looked clearly if you add a polarizing filter in front of you lens. I used lenskit, Canon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, in this picture. Because this lens used an external focusing, so I must set the filter follow my flow.

Polarizing Filter Effect

If you want concentrate in Landscape Photography, don’t forget to have Circular Polarizer Filter. This filter is a “hand-book” of landscaper.

copied from Wikimedia, it says that Circular Polarization is :

The concept of circular polarization is similar to that to linear polarization. Circular polarization is a combination of two perpendicular linear waves that are 90 degrees out of phase with each other.

Example picture using HOYA CPL Filter :

Leaves Framing

leave a comment »

Framing is a way to make our photos looked more interested. We can use stone, branch of trees, people, building, or leaves. In this photo I used mango leaves to make my photos better. Even though this photos doesn’t have a strong Point of Interest, this framing can make this photos more eye cacthing.  I my opinion of course :D.
